    Hi Curt!

Very nice stories. By the way where is the picture in header?

Nasim: You’re entirely too kind. I had just gotten started with radio journalism when I left. But thank you, especially coming from you. The picture is of the barrio (or neighborhood) of the Sacromonte in Granada, Spain, where I lived. It’s the Gypsy section of town. As beautiful a place as I ever saw. Most places in Europe can’t rival the U.S. (or Afghanistan) for natural beauty, but from this place you can see the hills around Granada, the foothills of the mountains, and the white peaks of the Sierra Nevada (which means snow-covered mountain range in Spanish).
